Ingredients

Scale

Truffle Mixture

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 36 golden Oreo cookies (about 14.3 ounces)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Coating

  • 16 ounces (1 pound) vanilla almond bark (or white melting chocolate)
  • Sprinkles (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Equipment: Line a baking sheet or rimmed tray with parchment paper and set aside to prevent sticking and facilitate easy cleanup.
  2. Crush Cookies: Use a food processor to finely crush the golden Oreos into crumbs or place them in a sealed bag and crush with a rolling pin until finely ground.
  3. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, Oreo crumbs, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is homogeneous and holds together well.
  4. Form Balls: Roll the mixture into 1-inch diameter balls using your hands, and place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate the truffle balls for at least 1 hour to allow them to firm up and make them easier to dip in the coating.
  6. Melt Coating: Gently melt the vanilla almond bark or white melting chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth and fully melted without overheating.
  7. Dip Truffles: Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each chilled truffle ball into the melted almond bark, allowing excess coating to drip off before placing back onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. If desired, immediately decorate with sprinkles.
  8. Set Coating: Return the coated truffles to the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour until the coating is firm and completely set.

Notes

  • Make sure the cream cheese is fully softened for easier mixing.
  • Use parchment paper to avoid sticking and to make cleanup easier.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • For added flavor, sprinkle a little extra cinnamon on top before the coating sets.
  • Can be frozen for longer storage; thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
  • Substitute regular Oreos for a different flavor variation.
