Ingredients

Scale

Sun Dried Tomato Mayonnaise

  • ½ cup mayonnaise (divided)
  • 2 ounces sun dried tomatoes (drained)
  • 2 cloves garlic (or more to taste)

Sandwich Assembly

  • 4 slices sourdough bread (or your favorite bread or use a wrap/tortilla)
  • 6 slices turkey deli meat (divided)
  • 6 slices bacon (cooked)
  • 2 ounces sun dried tomatoes (drained)
  • 1 avocado (divided)
  • 4 leaves romaine lettuce (divided)

Instructions

  1. Make the sun dried tomato mayonnaise: Add the sun dried tomatoes, garlic, and half of the mayonnaise to a wide mouth mason jar or blender. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined, creating a flavorful spread that will add a zesty twist to your sandwich.
  2. Prepare the bread or wrap: Lay out the four slices of bread or wraps on a clean surface. Spread the prepared sun dried tomato mayonnaise generously on each side of the bread or on both sides inside the wrap to ensure each bite is flavorful.
  3. Layer the sandwich ingredients: On two slices of the bread or wraps, evenly distribute 3 slices of turkey deli meat per sandwich. Next, add 3 slices of cooked bacon on top of the turkey. Follow this with a layer of sun dried tomatoes and avocado slices, and finish with romaine lettuce leaves for a fresh crunch.
  4. Assemble and serve: If using bread, sandwich with the remaining slices and cut each sandwich in half. For wraps, tightly roll the wrap around the filling, secure with toothpicks, and cut in half. Serve your Turkey Club Sandwich with a side salad or chips for a complete meal.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, toast the bread slices before assembling the sandwich.
  • Adjust the amount of garlic in the mayonnaise to suit your preference.
  • Bacon can be substituted with turkey bacon for a lighter option.
  • The sandwich can be customized with other greens like spinach or arugula instead of romaine lettuce.
  • Use gluten-free bread or wraps to make this sandwich gluten-free.
